Change often comes slowly but after decades of regulatory inaction large swaths of southern NH’s drinking water have been polluted with toxic per- and polyfluoroalkyl chemicals or “PFAS” which have been dubbed “forever chemicals.” The widespread drinking water pollution is the result of unabated emissions from industries like Saint Gobain Performance Plastics in Merrimack and Textile Coatings Inc.
